George D. Lantrip, 78, of Route 3, Waco, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Connally Chapel, Rev. Carl Jones officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Lantrip of Route 3, Waco; two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Gilleland of 4013 Cobbs Drive and Mrs. Oran Sowell of Pasadena; two sons, L. D. Lantrip of Route 3, Waco, and Thomas F. Lantrip of Tyler; one brother, Tom Lantrip of Bell Garden, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
