Stacey Jean McCaig, 35, of China Spring, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at a local nursing facility.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday March 19, at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brad Brittain officiating. Interment will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 18, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Stacey was born at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital in Waco, Texas, to William and Lois McCaig. Stacey was a fun loving, caring, and strong willed person. She was an active participant in her church, Relay For Life , and Texas Special Olympics. She worked at Taco Bell for several years where she learned to support herself. She was very independent and loved to watch wrestling. She was a huge Baylor Bears fan and enjoyed watching and talking about the various games. Stacey loved to shop and take trips through Cameron Park and look at the scenery.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois McCaig; grandmother, Betty Raines; maternal grandmother, Nora Dalrymple; and paternal grandfather, Marvin McCaig

Stacey is survived by her father, William McCaig and wife, Jan McCaig; sister, Betty Price and husband, Roger; brothers, Daniel McCaig and wife, Laura McCaig, and Dustin “Possum” Uptmore and wife, Mary Uptmore; step-sister, Wendy Curtner and husband, Walker; and step-brother, Brian Everett and wife, Joanna; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
