Edwin Erath McLennan, 81, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday in Houston.

Funeral services will be  held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church in China Spring, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors: One son, D. C. McLennan of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Fredenberg of New York City, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Will McLennan of China Spring and L. D. McLennan of Thornton; five sisters, Mrs. A. H. Miller of Houston, Mrs. C. E. Gordon of San Antonio, Mrs. Verdie McLennan of San Antonio, Mrs. W. A. Riley of San Antonio, and Mrs. Ira Armstrong of Lubbock.

Mr. McLennan was born near China Spring.  He had lived in Houston the past two years.

Active pallbearers will be six nephews.
