Funeral services for Neil McLennan, member of one of central Texas’ first families, great-grandson of the county’s namesake and a war veteran who died in San Antonio Wednesday night, were held at Compton’s Chapel at 4 p.m. Friday with burial in China Spring Cemetery, Veterans of Foreign Wars in charge.

Pallbearers were Smith Dosher, Joe Caldwell, Enoch Caldwell, Frank Calloway, Hugh Eichelberger and Fred Moser.  Honorary pallbearers are Tom Curton, Clyde Smith, Ish Smith, George Seisler, Fred Cannon, Russell Richardson and A. P. Miles.
