Will McLennan,, 82-year old son of Neill McLennan, the man for whom McLennan County was named, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday at his Route 1, China Spring home.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m.Wednesday at China Spring Methodist Church, Rev. Roy Crawford of Crawford officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. McLennan was born in McLennan County and had lived here all his life. He was a farmer. He would have been 83 in May. He was a Methodist and a former member of Woodmen of the World.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, W. W. McLennan of Clifton and L. D. McLennan of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Loy Fulp of Crawford, Mrs. H. R. Wharton of Oklahoma City, and Miss Sally Jo McLennan of Lincoln, Neb; five sisters, Mrs. A. H. Miller of Houston, Mrs. C. E. Gordon of San Antonio, Mrs. Ira Armstrong of Lubbock, Mrs. W. A. Riley and Miss Verdi McLennan of San Antonio; and three grandchildren.
