Funeral services for Robert Pringle, 44, who lives near Wortham Bend, killed when struck by a hit-run driver as he walked along the highway late Saturday night were held Sunday at 4 p.m. from the Methodist Church at ChinaSpring, burial in China Spring cemetery, Compton’s in charge.

Active pallbearers were W.E. Wallace, John Jobe, Gus Walker, Alex Mitchell, Cecil Granger, Roy Bryant.

Surviving are a son, Otis Pringle of Valley Mills; his mother, Mrs. Robert Pringle of Wortham Bend; three brothers, D. T. Pringle of Chalk Bluff, H.B. Pringle and W.H. Pringle both of China Spring; two sisters, Mrs. M. Jobe of Waco and Miss Bertie Mae Pringle of China Spring.

Mr. Pringle has resided in the county all his life.
