George D. Rich, 79, of Killeen, formerly of China Spring, died Saturday in a  Temple hospital

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church in Killeen, the Rev. J. F. Franks officiating.  Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Rich had lived in Killeen since 1968.  He moved there from China Spring.  He was a retired farmer.  He was Sunday school superintendent and deacon at Rock Creek Baptist Church for 20 years.  He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Killeen and Knight of the King Sunday school class.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Rich; a son, J. D. Rich of Killeen; a daughter, mrs. Margie Cardwell of Denton; a brother, Joe Rich of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Wimberly of Dallas; seven stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
