Ruth Garrett Roberts, 91, of China Spring, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, at China Spring United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room.

Ruth was born in Erath, Texas, to the late Ros and Lenna Garrett. She attended China Spring Schools. On April 14, 1934, she married Ben Roberts. Ruth was a homemaker and loved working outdoors, especially in her rose garden. She was a longtime member of China Spring United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Ben “Buddy” Roberts, of China Spring; son, Ray Roberts, of China Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
