Rupert L. Saunders of China Spring, 69, died at  11:20 a.m. in a local hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in China Spring Methodist Church, Rev. Billy Patterson officiating, with burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors:  His wife, Mrs. Annie Saunders of China Spring;  four daughters, Mrs. Gladyce Prickette of 1833 North Seventeenth Street, Mrs. Britt Villines of China Spring,  Mrs. K. A. Mastyn of Lexington,  and Mrs. Bruce West of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.  Among other survivors is Mrs Zim Hunt of 2104 Lenamon, Waco.
