Benjamin B. Smith, 71, died in a local hospital at 11:20 p.m. Monday.  He resided st 1824 Maple Avenue.

Funeral services were held at Connally’s chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. J. D. Barnes of Valley Mills officiating, burial in China Spring cemetery.

Survivors: Six daughters, Mrs. Hallie Peterson, Miss Lucille Smith and Mrs. Lillie Nichols, all of Waco, Mrs. Viola White of Goldsmith, Texas, Miss Rosa Smith of Guymon, Okla., and Mrs. Allie Light of Valley Mills; three son, W. T. Smith and Raymond Smith of Waco; and Paul Smith of Oklahoma; one sister, Mis Sallie Smith of Jefferson, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
