Helen Alexander Burt passed away Monday, June 11, 2012. Service: Church services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, China Spring, the Rev. Michael Copeland officiating. Burial: will follow in China Spring Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

Helen was born April 29, 1925, to Jesse and Lexie Wells. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her daughters, George W. Alexander; and the late Charles Talbert Burt; her sister, Mary Hopkins; and her brother, Elvin Wells.

Survivors: Her daughters, Carolyn Jeffus, Kathy Gist and Glinda Scott; seven grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; and sisters, Ollie Wales and Ruby Meregle.
