Robert Lee Sumerlin, age 76. died at 1:10 a.m. Monday in local hospital

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at China Spring Baptist Church. Rev. Don Richey, assisted by Paul Hopkins officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors: One daughter, Mrs. Eunice Lee Payne of  China Spring; three sons, Idas D Summerlin, J. T. Summerlin, both of China Spring, and Joe Summerlin of Waco; one sister, Mrs. Della Sherrill of Waco; two brothers, A. C. Summerlin of Waco, V. B. Summerlin of China Spring; two granddaughters, Mrs. H. L. Turnage of Waco, Miss Branda Marlene Summerlin of Waco; one great-grandson, Justin Turnage.

Mr. Summerlin had lived around China Spring 19 years.  He as a deacon in the First Baptist Church.   His wife died in May of 1953.
