Charles S Warner, 85, of 401 Owen Lane, died Sunday afternoon in a Temple hospital.

Private graveside services will be held a 1 p.m. Wednesday at China Spring Cemetery with the Rev. John Desel officiating.

Mr. Warner was born in Oxford, Conn., moving to Waco in 1965.  He was veteran of World War II and a 60-year member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was employeed by a Pennsylvania railroad for 35 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Backer of 8907 Panther and Mrs. Mary Flock of 744 Ruby; one son, John Warner of Waco; 12  grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
