Elbert M. Wallace of Waco, a carpenter for 40 years, died Wednesday at a local hospital.  He was 86.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. today at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. Don Bearden officiating.

Mr. Wallace was born Feb. 23, 1906 in Waco and attended China Spring schools.  He married Mary Ann Moore on March 30, 1940, in Waco; she died April 22, 1990.  Mr. Wallace was a 50-year member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. H. M. (Ona) Robinson and Mrs. W. C. (Annie) Walker, both of Waco, and Mrs. J. M. (Eula) Seavers of Bryan; and two brothers, Dan C. Wallace of China Spring and Bob Wallace Jr. of Waco.

Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church.
