Lucille “Shorty”, “LC” Smith, 96, of Waco, Texas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at a local nursing center.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, with Chaplain Craig Klempnauer officiating. Ms. Smith will be available for viewing 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Lucille was born in Valley Mills, Texas, to the late Benjamin and Minnie Lee (Cheek) Smith. She worked for Woods Manufacturing Co. for over 40 years as a seamstress and also worked for Buck and Hawk Co. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
