Annie Mae Smith, 77, of Waco died Dec. 29, 2001, at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at BrookView Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Monsignor Mark Deering officiating. Interment will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Annie was born April 8, 1924, in Highbank, Texas. She graduated from Waco High School in 1941. She married James W. “Smitty” Smith on July 4, 1944, at James Connally Air Force Base. Annie was employed at Citizens National Bank for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include her brother, William Mack and wife, Vera Richie; a son; three nephews; and four grandchildren.
