R. V. Shans of Waco, died Friday ina local nursing home.  He was 73.

Graveside services 3 p.m. Sunday at China Spring Cemetery, with the Rev. Ronnie Holmes and the Rev. Steve Oates officiating.

Survivors include three daughters, Fay Toten, Judy Shans Davis and Sue Arnett all of Waco; a son, Bobby Shans of California; and a brother, Chester Shans of California; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
