Airman 1C Tommy W. Sapp, son of Wacoans, was killed in an automobile accident in Misawa, Japan, Wednesday.  He was 21.

Sapp was born in  Waco, attended Waco schools and was a graduate of China Spring High School.

He had attended McLennan Community College two  years before volunteering for service in the U. S. Air Force.  He was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base and Goodfellow Field in San Angelo before being transferred to Japan in June, 1970.

Sapp was a member of China Spring Baptist Church.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. J. E. Chalkley of 709 Kipling; his father, Gene Sapp of Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Sandra Boatman of Houston; a brother, Jimmy Chalkley of 709 Kipling; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. McGill of 3425 Cumberland and Mrs. John (Ruby) Burt of Waco.
