Mrs. Michael (Janice Kay) Ross of China Spring, an employee of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, died Thursday at a local hospital, She was 47.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in China Spring, the Rev. Earl Lanting and the Rev. Leibert Armour officiating.  Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.

Mrs. Ross was born June 12, 1946, in Pigeon, Mich.  She attended the community school system for Elkton, Pigeon and Bayport.  She also attended Fort Wayne Bible College in Fort Wayne, Ind.  She lived in many places and moved to China Spring in May 1983.  She married Michael G. Ross on Sept. 24, 1966.  Mrs. Ross worked at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for more than five years.  She attended the First Baptist Church in China Spring.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mary E. Hewitt (passed away in 2014) of LaCenter, Wash.; two daughters, Tia Conklin of Havelock, N.C., and Tonya Dekle of Waco; a sister, Karen Kerkow of LaCenter, Wash.; three brothers, Dwight Hewitt of Friendswood, Kenneth Hewitt of Bad Axe, Mich., and Dennis Hewitt of Ingleside; and a grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel.
