Jerrel Pringle, Sr., 72, of Waco died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at a Temple Hospital. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 at China Spring Cemetery with the Rev. John Carroll officiating under the direction of Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. The family will have visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the funeral home.

Mr. Pringle was born Aug. 28, 1925 in China Spring to Wallace Herschel and Louise Pringle. He was a seaman first class in the Navy from March 24, 1944, until June 5, 1946.

He was preceded in death by a son, Chester Lee Pringle.

Survivors include two sons, Jerrel Pringle Jr. of Waco and Wallace Pringle of Laguna Park; three daughters, Malinda Arrington of Missouri, Evelyn Marie Chandler of Waco and Carrie Lou McCollum of Port Arthur; two sisters, Lola Sanders of Waco and Wanda Cook of Las Vegas, Nev.; and nine grandchildren.
