Dan Owens Miller, Sr. 65, of Dallas, a native of Moody, died Friday in Dallas.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. J. Henry Brown officiating. Burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Miller was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Moody, and attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville and Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. He was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He worked for Texas Power & Light Co. in Waco for several years before being transferred to Dallas, and he retired in 1981 after 40 years with TP&L. He was a member of Casaview Baptist Church in Dallas.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Miller of Dallas; son, Dan O. Miller, Jr. of Dallas; daughter, Suzanne Larson of Abilene, stepson, George Helton of Tenn.; his mother, Beulah Miller of Moody; brother, Robert H. Miller of San Antonio; sister, Betty Chenot of Waco; and four grandchildren.
