Miss Mary Elizabeth Maury, 45, of Houston, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Houston hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Compton’s Chapel with the Rev. Clyde S. Sherman officiating, burial in China Spring Cemetery.

Survivors: Three sisters, Mrs. Joe McFall of Waco, Mrs. Annie Hatfield of Waco and Mrs. J. E.  Carpenter of China Spring; on nephew, Joe S. McFall of Houston; and two nieces, Mrs. L. C. Hatton of Tucson, Ariz. and Miss Mary Ruth McFall of Waco.

Born in China Spring, she had been teaching school for the past 24 years.  She had lived in Houston since 1945.  Miss Maury was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
