J. M. (Jim) Maddox, 79, of 1904 McFerrin, died Thursday morning in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at China Spring Cemetery, the Rev. W. G. Linbergh and the Rev. Ivan Ker officiating.
Mr. Maddox was born Jan. 6, 1900, in Lorena, and had farmed in the Waco area. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Maddox; four daughters, Mrs. Afton Walker of Gholson, Mrs. Shirley Girard of Waco, and Mrs. Ruth Balega and Mrs. Billie Jo Delgado, both of Burleson; one son, J. A. Maddox of Waco; three sisters, Mrs. Attie Garrett and Mrs. Georgia Neumann, both of Waco, and Mrs. Hortense Brooks of Whitney; one brother, B. I. Maddox of Waco; and eight step-grandchildren.
