Funeral services for Fred Light of Valley Mills will be at Krueger chapel here at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Billy McClellan will officiate, burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.

Mr. Light died in a Meridian hospital Monday.  He was 64.

Mr. Light, a native of Bosque County, had lived in Valley Mills the past 22 years.  He had been a member of the Valley Mills Volunteer Fire Department the past 22 years and received the Fireman’s Award in 1967.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Martha Lee Bud of Bosqueville; two sons, Edward D.Light of Waco and Benny Lee Light of Norfolk, Va.; his father, E. P. Light of Cedar Springs; one sister, Mrs. Birdie Fisk of Valley Mills; three brothers, Crockett Light and Elbert Light, both of Valley Mills, and Alonza Light of Cedar Springs; and nine grandchildren.
