Gilda Frances Lené, 83, of Waco, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, surrounded by her family.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Mike Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room.

Frances was born in Marshall, Texas, to the late Marvin and Dessie Mae Curry. She and her husband, Thomas, raised cattle and loved to travel with friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of China Spring.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas J. Lené Jr.; three brothers; and a sister.

She is survived by her son, Tom Lené and wife, Donna; daughters, Linda Beatty and husband, Steve, Susan Kroll and husband, Harold, and Gilda Bush and Steve Whaley; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Curry; and numerous family and friends.
