Ila Faye Fieseler, 84, of Waco, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014. Funeral services will be at 2pm, Thursday, March 20th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco, with Bro. John Collier officiating. Viewing will be on a come and go basis from 10am until 2pm Thursday, March 20th.  Burial following at China Spring Cemetery.

Ila was born August 4, 1929 in Jonesboro, to the late Everett and Nettie (Eckols) Toten. She earned her LVN in 1970 and went on to become a Respiratory Therapist. She raised three beautiful girls from a prior marriage, and in August of 1974, she married Calvin Louis Fieseler, with whom she shared 39 years. Ila was a very active member of the church in her lifetime, and was most recently a member of Parkview Baptist Church, which she joined in 2002. She was nicknamed “Mother Nature” during her time spent helping out at Rocky Point Girl Scout Camp in Lake Texoma. Ila enjoyed painting and sewing, singing and dancing, and absolutely LOVED to shop.  She was a beautiful soul, and will be greatly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Toten; and one sister, Lois Taylor McGee.

She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin; three daughters, Kay McPherson of Glen Rose, Judy Armstrong and husband, Roger, of Decatur, and Becky Phillips of Branson, MO;  four grandsons, Marty McPherson and wife, Karen of Glen Rose, Jeff McPherson and wife, Laura Ann, of Glen Rose, Brian Armstrong and wife, Angie, of Cleburne, and Cody Dooley and wife, Jayne, of Branson, MO; one granddaughter, Lori Lynass and husband, Jeff, of Seattle, WA; 14 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Jenna, Ryan, Trent, Hope, Cash, Faith, Ole, Scout, Joseph, Mary, Ben, Jessica, and Bradley and wife, Allenna; 1 great-great-grandchild, Insley; as well as many other dear family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Armstrong, Cody Dooley, Roger Armstrong, Ronnie Adams, Butch Maddox and Troy Edison.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Tanny Edison and Cleata Tye, two special nieces who helped care for Ila over the last 15 years.

Memorials in Ila’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
