Vinnie Holt Carter, 84, of Waco, died Saturday at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, 1999 at Wilkirson-Hatch Chapel with Rev. Carroll Hambrick officiating. Burial will follow in China Spring cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 9, 1914 in McLennan County in the North Bosque Community. She attended schools in China Spring. She married Cap A. Carter on Oct. 2, 1946. He died July 23, 1961. Mrs. Carter worked at Dixie Ice Cream Co., Cox’s Candy and Pure Milk Co. She ws a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Minnie Alice Lumpkin of Valley Mills; three nieces, Alice Eskew of Valley Mills, Pat O’Brien of McGregor and Jennie Pack of Waco; two nephews, Lawrence Lumpkin of China Spring and Tom Pack of Madison, TN.
